Sep 19-21: Beavercreek Free-trappers Rendezvous
Location: 1 mi North, 3/4 East of Sterling, OK 73005
Event Detail: Camp fee $10; Shooters fee $10 plus a $10 prize. Fees used for better prizes from the traders. There will be a mountain man walk, pistol, Hawk, Knife, Novtly rifle, Rifle, fire starting, mountainman walk for 6-12 ages. Booshway-Ironjaw Nobottom. Bring Bows-arrows Archary shoot is $2 charge for each entry, separate prize blanket.

Sep 20: Fall River Rendezvous
Location: Fredonia Bay area of Fall River State Park, north of Fall River, KS
Event Detail: Join us in celebrating National Public Lands Day of 1803 the Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial. Free park passes and primitive camping passes, if in historical attire, will be give to those who register before August 15th. Traders and artisans are invited and may sell their wares without extra charge. Baking, skillet throw, shoot and tomahawk throw contests will be held during the day with prizes awarded to the winners. The Fall River Booster Club's Free Fall BBQ will take place in the town of Fall River Saturday evening at 6:00pm. Bring your musical instruments and tall tales for an evening of music and storytelling at the encampment. We urge you to register by August 15th. Late registrants will pay $6.50 for a daily vehicle pass and a primitive camping fee of $8.00. Your commitment will help as we obtain prizes, and set-up the encampment. We will provide firewood and water to participants. Modern restrooms and showers are located in Fredonia Bay.

Sep 20-21: 28th Annual Trail of Courage Living History Festival
Location: 37 E 375 N (just off N. US 31), Rochester, Indiana 46975 Event Detail: Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m daily, Admission: Adults - $5, Ages 6-12 - $2, Bus students - $2; Ages 5 and under - free. Step back into Fulton County's Frontier past with a visit to this historic living history festival of pre-1840. Visit a variety of historic encampments representing the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Plains Indians, Woodland Indians - Miami and Potawatomi life ways, and voyaguers with canoes. Enjoy period music and dance, bagpipes and Scottish dancers, marching fife and drum corps, a frontier fashion show and Indian lore. See demonstrations of early American and Indian skills and wares such as broom making, spinning, candle dipping, flintknapping, Indian beadwork and more. Savor a variety of foods ranging from buffalo burgers, Indian fry bread, venison stew, and apple dumplings, to popcorn and potato chips made in big iron kettles. Make your way to the Chippeway Village portraying frontier Northern Indiana of 1832 with its pioneer and Indian crafts, post office, storytellers, Frontier Blab School and 18th century puppet show. Observe muzzleloading shooting and tomahawk contests, blanket trading as well as a canoe landing and fur trading skit. See the Log Trading Post. Canoe rides available.

Sep 20-21: Fort Belle Fontaine Historic Encampment & Blackpowder Shoot
Location: Fort Belle Fontaine Historic Site, end of Bellefontaine road, St. Louis, MO 63125
Event Detail: Visit the first American fort west of the Mississippi River & site of Lewis and Clark's final stop on their "Journey of Discovery". Located on the banks of the Missouri River at the mouth of Coldwater Creek. Free to the Public. Camp opens to the Public at 10a with opening ceremonies at the Grand Staircase. Visit the Historical Encampment and Traders Row, Cannon Salutes hourly, Tomahawk & knife throws, Mountain man snacks & other food items, Shoot Both Days, Setup begins noon the 19th; Camp fee $10; Trader fee $15.

Location: 1.5 miles out of town on Hwy. 21, Ely, MN 55731
Event Detail: Fun and learning for everybody at our first annual event. A Voyageur style rendezvous, pre 1830, with large Native population desired. Company people welcome although this is a group of Independent Traders and Trappers. Friday 9/26 is open to public, but is also our School Day. Kids are free all weekend. For other fees please call, write or email. Lots of Demonstrations. Hawk, knife and frying pan throw, Black Powder Shoot tenative at listing, Voyageur Right Stuff, Tall Tales, WoodsWalk, and more. Still developing more highlights. Plenty of Participants needed. Food vendors also needed. PRIMITIVE SITE. NO power, NO tin tipis. Water on site. Limited amount of firewood, some for sale. Ice vendor will come in 2 or 3 times daily. Early set-up on Thurs. 9/25/03, with breakdown by 5 pm on Mon. 9/29/03. Hours open to Public are 10-6 daily, with closed gate at night. NO DRUGS, ALCOHOL, OR OTHER CONTRABAN.
